channel PEAR makes it easy to add custom media sources to your library. NOTE: make sure your sources are actually online before adding them to channel PEAR by visiting them in your browser.
You cannot simply enter "http://example.com/" and expect something to magically start streaming. Your URL must link directly to the file of a compatible media source. The type of compatible file types you can add to your library depend on what device you're watching on. HLS streams are the go-to streaming format as they work with the largest number of devices out of the box. An HLS file ends with a ".m3u8" extension.
Other compatible file types include MP4, MKV, etc. As stated before, the type of media you can play depends on what device you're streaming with. Learn the technical capabilities of your devices to maximize your success with channel PEAR.
